William Teaney was the son of Joseph and Sarah Teaney. William was born on 25th April 1880 in Magherafelt. William was a shoemaker, who lived in Queen Street, Magherafelt. William married Rosanne Nelson on 6th January 1915. He enlisted in Cookstown. Private William Teaney was serving with the 1st Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was killed in action on Tuesday 6th February 1917 in the Somme region.
