12/08/2017 John Cooke gave his next of kin as his sister Margaret, who at that time was living at 32 Paxton Road, Stockton-On-Tees.
12/08/2017 Stoker John Thomas Cooke was serving with the Royal Navy Reserve when he died on 25th May 1916. He was found drowned at Devonport on 26th May.

12/08/2017 John Thomas Cooke was born in Cookstown on 10th July 1883, according to National Archives records. This is disputed however, as there is no GRONI record of him been born in Cookstown between 1881 and 1885.
