05/12/2017 In his will dated 22nd day of February 1916, he was with the 1st Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.
05/12/2017 Acting Company Quartermaster Sergeant Robert James Williams was serving with the 7th Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was killed in action during the Third Battle of Ypres at Passchendaele on Thursday 16th August 1917.
05/12/2017 In both his Wills, he left all to his mother, who was living in Dublin.
05/12/2017 Sergeant R J Williams is buried at Douchy Farm New British Cemetery, near Ypres in Belgium.

After payment of my just debts and funeral expenses, I give my mother Mary Williams, No. 6 Ward, James Street Hospital Dublin, for her sole and separate use, the whole of my estate and effects, and everything that I can by law give or dispose of, and I appoint office i/c records Dublin executor of my will.
