Thomas William Watterson was the son of Thomas and Mary Watterson. He was born about 1921. The family lived in Coagh. Thomas was a member of Coagh Flute Band and Coagh Football Club. Thomas William Watterson was married and lived with his wife in Old Earswick, York. They had one child. Sapper Thomas William Watterson was serving with the 102nd Field Company of the Royal Engineers when he died of wounds on 21st March 1944, aged 23.
