Summary
Francis Tohill was born and lived in Magherafelt. He enlisted in Cookstown and served with the 1st Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. He was killed in action during the Battle of Arras on 19 May 1917. He has no known grave and is commemorated on bay 6 on the Arras Memorial.
The Arras Memorial is in the Faubourg-d'Amiens Cemetery, which is in the Boulevard du General de Gaulle in the western part of the town of Arras. The cemetery is near the Citadel, approximately 2 kms due west of the railway station.
