Summary      
Major Hugh Quinn was the son of John Quinn, formerly of Pomeroy, County Tyrone, and son of Mary J. Quinn (nee Irwin), of 14 Robert Street, Springhill, Brisbane, Australia, and nephew of Mrs. Flanagan, Church Street, Cookstown, and Mrs. Lavin, Ann Street, Dungannon. The family were well known in Pomeroy, Johnís father, Mr. Hugh Quinn was a merchant in the village and Johnís brother Francis was a local Publican. John Quinn emigrated to Australia in 1881 and was married with 2 sons.

Summary      
The Anzac and Suvla cemeteries are first signposted from the left hand junction of the Eceabat- Bigali road. From this junction travel into the main Anzac area. At 9.8 kms you will find the cemetery on the left hand side of the coast road. Beach cemetery is situated on what was known as Hell Spit, at the Southern point of Anzac Cove. The graves lie between the Kelia - Suvla Road and the beach.
