Summary      
Sergeant (Pilot) John Orr was the son of Samuel & Evelyn May Orr, of County Armagh, formerly of Pomeroy, Co. Tyrone. John Orr was based at Castle Archdale, County Fermanagh, which was the largest flying boat base during the Second World War. On 30th December, 1942, while piloting a Catalina, the aircraft flew into a hill in bad visibility one mile north west of Omagh, Co. Tyrone. Sergeant Orr was killed, aged 21.
