Summary      
Robert Millar was a son of Joseph and Mary Millar of Millburn Street, Cookstown. He was married to Elizabeth Jane Millar of Eagerlougher, Loughgall, County Armagh. He enlisted at Kingstown with the 9th Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers and was sent to France in October of 1915 in time for the build up to the Somme Offensive. He was killed in action on the 1st July 1916 in ‘No Mans Land’
