First Presbyterian Church Cookstown is located in the heart of Cookstown on Loy Hill. It lies at the junction of the Fairhill Road and the Main Street. The new church building at Loy Hill, overlooking the main shopping area of the town, was opened on 4 January 1764. The present building on Loy Hill was erected in 1841.

Memorial History
In 1764 as the planned town of Cookstown (designed by an ecclesiastical lawyer, Dr Allen Cooke) was developing, the congregation bought the present site on Loy Hill overlooking the main shopping area of the town, and here their new church building was opened on 4 January 1764. The present building on Loy Hill was erected in 1841.
From the Mid Ulster Mail dated Saturday 17th November 1945: Remembrance Day in Cookstown
At a special Service of Remembrance in First Presbyterian Church, Cookstown, on Sunday morning, conducted by Rev W J McKinstry Wallace, B.A., tribute was paid to the evergreen memory of the fallen heroes of both wars. The service opened with the Introit by the choir, and the ‘Silence’ was introduced by the famous lines from ‘For the Fallen’ (Laurence Binyon), and the reading of the names of the fallen in the two wars as follows:-
